| 'Aate Ki Katori' comedy staged at Natrang's Sunday Theatre | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 2: Yet another new hit comedy play 'Aate Ki Katori' written by N.R. Tandon and directed by Balwant Thakur was staged here today in the weekly theatre program of Natrang 'Sunday Theatre'. Inspired by a popular TV soap 'Nonk Jhonk', the play is mainly based on three ladies who are always in look for avenues to fight with each other. Three ladies Tulsi, Maya and Isro cannot find their kitchen menu complete unless or until they borrow some eatable from their neighborhood, but in the process they forget to return. Despite having everything at their respective homes they derive pleasure in borrowing things and later will not leave any occasion to put down each other. This obsession of theirs drags them everyday to their battleground. Interestingly their daily fighting routine has become a good entertainment for the whole colony where these three ladies live. Woven in a highly entertaining fashion, the play unfolds interesting aspects of such kind of ladies who have their own stories to narrate and are forced to sit at home to pass time fighting for small things like a small bowl of flour. This hilarious comedy is a big satire on the people who waste their precious life indulging into foolish things. One has to be productive and professional in every aspect of life so as to prepare him/her self to face the rapidly growing challenging of life. Most of us ruin life watching TV, fighting for non-issues purposelessly. The play ‘Aate Ki Katori’ not only entertains but educates the audience to rise above the occasion and create a progressive society which could lead India ahead of the developed nations The noteworthy feature of today's play was that it focused on ladies and had all women characters which were played confidently by the freshers’ of Natrang's new regular acting classes. The lead big fighters Tulsi and Maya were played by Monisha Sharma and Vansheen and both were supported by Tejasavi Sharma who played double role of Isro and Prakasho. |
