PM provided pucca house to lakhs of EWS families in J&K: Sat

JAMMU, Sept 28: Former Minister and ex-MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) distributed Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) approval letter among the beneficiary at a programme held at New Plot area of Ward 16. District President Munish Khajuria, Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, Mandal Vice President Onkar Singh Bose, local residents and political activists of the area were present on the occasion. The approval letter was handed over to the family of the beneficiary of PMAY who applied for a Housing loan. The letter was handed over to Baisakhi Ram a resident of New Plot. The beneficiary has also been provided with an extra interest free loan of Rupees 2 lakhs besides PMAY amount for construction of his house which was in a bad condition.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is the priority of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide basic amenities to every section of society and he has undertaken a mission where up to 2022 when India will attain 75 years of Independence, there will be Housing for all and every Economic Weaker Section (EWS) in country will have a Pucca house and Central Government is determined to fulfil this mission with other milestones which it has set to achieve for betterment of country. He stated that till date lakhs of families in J&K who were ignored by Congress Governments, have now been given the approval letters under PMAY which will further help them in construction of their houses in a planned manner and under the scheme, four installments will be released in favor of the beneficiaries amounting to a total of Rs 1.66 lakh each which will overcome many problems for EWS.
Munish Khajuria appealed to others as well to take benefits of Central Government sponsored schemes so that lifestyle of people could be uplifted in many ways.
Ravesh Mengi, Onkar Singh, Meera Samral, Jeet Samral, Raghuvir Kumar and many others also accompanied the former MLA during his visit to the ward.
