| Sports activities begin at Islamia College of Science and Commerce | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 28: The College Department of Physical Education organized a match of Tug of War between College Teaching and Non-Teaching staff members at Islamia College of Science and Commerce play field today under the banner of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrut Mahatsov commemorating India's 75th Independence Day which is being celebrated across the UT by Govt of J&K Administration.
The match between the Teaching staff and Non-Teaching staff was played at College Play field in which a single pull decided the winning team among the the two rivals. The teaching staff team was spearheaded by the staff secretary Prof Abdul Majid while non-teaching team was led by Midhat Kamli. After more than a 5 minute tussle, the teaching team overpowered the opposite side.
Speaking on the occasion, College Principal Prof (Dr) Sheikh Ajaz Bashir accompanied by all the members of College Sports Committee members said that the both the teams of our College have showcased an exceptional performance in pulling up the rope in this competition. |
