JAMMU, Sept 28: Career Counseling Cell, Government P.G. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu organized certificate distribution function after the culmination of 100 hours virtual orientation program for students in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services.
The orientation programme was organized under the patronage of Principal of the College, Dr. Sangita Nagari. In her address, she emphasized that the college is focusing on conducting such programmes to help the students by providing them necessary information regarding employability skills and trainings in order to enhance their employability.
Prof. Mala Bhasin, HOD Botany and convener of the programme assured that this orientation programme specially designed for 6th semester students will help them in getting suitable placements in accordance to their interests, personality, aptitude and skills. Prof. Ambica Kumari, Nodal Officer for career counseling and coordinator of the programme appreciated the efforts of Tata Consultancy Services.
This is the first time such collaboration was happened between the college and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The program was delivered through a continuous learning engagement structure of Virtual Instructor Led training and self learning interventions spread across 100 hours. The trainees experienced learning of soft skill and hard skills through interventions such as knowledge sharing of concept to practical work usage & practices, applying techniques and approach to digital/written assessment.
