| NC: Coalition messed up J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 3: "Congress, PDP and the BJP are solely responsible for the overall mess, mis-governance and administrative anarchy through which the state went during the six years of the coalition rule", said senior National Conference leader and former Member Legislative Council Brij Mohan Sharma while addressing meeting of party workers from Rajpur Domana Assembly constituency, at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, here today which was organized by Satpal Lakhotra, District President Jammu Rural "A". He said the coalition partners instead of working sincerely for the welfare and wellbeing of the people of the state remained busy in their personal welfare least bothering about the people of the state with whom they promised stars and moon. Their promise of providing jobs to unemployed youth remained confined to papers only," he said adding that "they stand exposed before the masses as their claims stand punctured. They have failed to deliver and are unable to face the masses." He said National Conference is committed to uplift the poor and downtrodden and the priority sector for National Conference is to address the issue of unemployment. He said the party is very much concerned over the plight of the farmers who had suffered badly at the hands of the coalition partners and assured them that after coming to power National Conference will make every possible effort to mitigate the problems being faced by the farmers. He said parties like BSP have nothing to do in J&K and it to refrain from issuing statements without knowing facts and figures and asked the BSP to go through the history of the National Conference first and then speak. Among others who spoke on the occasion included Th. Kashmira Singh, Gurdeep Singh Sassan, Jugal Mahajan, Satpal Lakhotra, Som Nath, Ashok Singh, Ram Lal and Ranjeet Singh. |
