Govt College of Education hosts video making competition on “Role of field trip in Pedagogy of teaching learning”

JAMMU Oct 3: Science club of Government College of Education Jammu conducted an online/offline video making competition on “Role of field trip in Pedagogy of teaching learning”.
Science enthusiasts, who share a zeal for the genre, came together to make a brief video on National parks, wildlife sanctuaries, museums etc.
It was an event to perceive the significance of science and nature in reality, appreciate the work of students, encourage scientific ideas as both a hobby and a profession and to learn more about biodiversity of the region.
The program was proficiently conducted by Science Club in charge Dr. Jyoti Praihar
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal, GCOE said that field trips are a way to explore practical knowledge.
She applauded the efforts of Science Club volunteers and GCOE students and congratulated everyone and also shared some fond memories of her life too.
The event was judged by Dr. Ritu Magotra, HOD English, GCW Parade College and Prof. B.L. Thakur, Department Of Education, GDC Udhampur.
Priya Kotwal and Rimmi Kerni shared the first position, while Sonia Singh and Swani bagged the second position and Riya and Diksha shared the third position. Santosh, Smyali and Taniya got commendable mentions.
The participants, through their video entries tried to prove that science is a very important medium of understanding things easily. The students showed their creativity and technical skills through the scientific news.
Science club volunteers who contributed to this event are Saksham Maria, Diksha Verma, Richu Koul etc
