| Ranji Trophy: Young Aditya makes debut 50 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 3: Given a chance and the young cricketer of just 18 years, Aditya Pratap Singh proved his worth hitting half century for Jammu and Kashmir in his first appearance in the Ranji Trophy competitions against Jharkhand today. On the opening day of the four-day match, J&K bowled out for 223 in the first innings. In turn, J&K managed first two early wickets thereby reducing Jharkhand to 15 for two at the end of opening day play. According to the reports reaching here, Aditya Pratap contributed 57 runs while guest player from Maharashtra, Manoj Joalkar contributed highest 65 runs to J&K total. At one point of time, J&K were struggling at 60 for six, but good innings played by middle order batsman, Aditya Pratap and Joalkar brought the total to a respectable position. In reply, Jharkhand lost two early wickets with just 15 runs on the board. All-rounder Vijay Sharma was successful bowler who took one wicket while second Jharkhand batsman was run out. |
