| SADHBHAVANA 2008; Army organised motivational tour for 13 girls | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Nov 3: Continuing with its efforts to win the hearts and minds of the people in the state particularly those living in the disturbed areas, Army this time has organized a motivational tour for 13 girls of Thana Mandi in Rajouri district under the operation Sadbhavana.
The girls in the tour are getting Vocational Training in a Centre set up by the Army at Thanamandi and will visit visiting Delhi, Agra and Jammu from November 3 to November 8 November 2008.
The tour which is being organised by 43 Rashtriya Rifles under Romeo Force was flagged off by the Officiating Commander of Rashtriya Rifles Sector at Thanamandi.
The girls will be taken to places of historical interest in Delhi, Agra and Jammu, thereby exposing them to the rich cultural heritage of the country besides being taken to Qutub Minar, Parliament House, India Gate, Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri, Shopping Malls and Metro at Delhi etc.
The main aim of this tour is to enable these girls to explore and imbibe the rich culture of our country and witness the progress that has taken place to generate a feeling of pride in them.
Speaking on the occasion, the Officiating Commander exhorted these girls to educate the environment on their return about the progress that has been achieved by the country in the past sixty years post independence and see for themselves the rich and varied cultural heritage of our country. He said that the girls are the pillars of the society and they are the ones to guide the future youth of the region. |
