| NC to empower women folk: Luthra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 4: National Conference is committed to work towards up- liftement of the women folk in the state, which remained neglected during the six years of the coalition rule, said Bimla Luthra, Provincial President J&K National Conference Women Wing, Jammu province while addressing series of election meetings at Miran Sahib and Giddar Galian today.
She said empowering women folk is on the top of the party’s agenda and the NC after coming to power shall take all necessary measures to provide reservation to women folk in the Legislative Assembly and shall strengthen the Women's Commission and other similar bodies for empowering the women folk of the state.
Intensifying the election campaign in favour of National Conference, Bimla Luthra urged upon the voters to come forward and strengthen the hands of party and its leadership. She said victory of the party in the ensuing assembly elections shall be the victory of the people of the state, and National Conference will leave no stone unturned to fulfill the genuine urges and aspirations of the people of the state and shall work for equitable development of the state. |
