JAMMU, Oct 8: Sainik Samaj Party (SSP) condemned cowardly, dastardly and inhuman terror attacks on innocent people which took away five lives in span of two days in Kashmir.
President SSP, Col SS Pathania, said that desperation of Pakistan's militants dully supported by local cadre is clearly visible, as they are choosing soft targets and spread the reign of terror by killing innocent civilians including teachers. Pakistan, will never stopped its proxy war, as it serves their dual purpose of internationalizing the Kashmir issue and playing to their domestic audience by projecting it as a strong nation, capable of being the leader amongst Muslim nations. Pakistan emboldened by victory of Talibans in Afghanistan and with blessings of China, through ISI has changed their strategy to hybrid militancy, where innocent youth is being, provoked to kill unarmed civilians, and then merge with the crowd and become a part of sleeper cell. Enhanced vigilance and difficulties in pushing armed militants also, has forced ISI to shift their strategy. Pathania further stated that revamping in the intelligence set and security grid is the need of hour and approach must change from reactive to proactive. We can learn a lot on this aspect from Israel. Out of 10 districts only four are active and to eliminate the militancy infrastructure, more troops can be pumped in, if required. He requested Lt Governor and Union of India to unleash an all out offensive, aimed at wiping off militants, over ground workers and sleeper cells, and ensure that selective killings of minority, do not take place. |
