| Workshop on Content Generation Programme commences | | | Jammu, July 10: The workshop on 'Content Generation Programme' for EDUSAT (an interactive satellite based distance education system) was held in the premises of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar today, wherein fifty professors and lecturers from Jammu province were attended the lectures delivered by team members of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization).
Speaking on the occasion, Director Colleges, Dr. N.D. Wani emphasized the need to educate all, and lauded the role of EDUSAT in catering to the growing demand for an interactive satellite based distance education system for the state.
He pointed out the aims of EDUSAT and urged the participants to avail of the golden opportunity to get trained in this new advanced education satellite system.
Welcoming, the DECU (Development and Educational Communication Unit, Ahamadabad) ISRO team, Dr. Veena Gupta said that the aim behind organizing this session is to reach the unreachable areas and pointed out that opportunities to learn and grow are unlimited and urged the participants to equip themselves with the latest in advanced education systems.
Director School Education was also present on the occasion and he also advised the participants to draw the maximum from the ISRO team and further spread education to remote areas. The schedule of the programme was outlined by Nitin Bhavsar. The programme would continue for five days. |
