| JKAACL organizes Musical Bonanza | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 4: With the motive to encourage the folk artist and to educate and entertain to the people residing at Border Areas of the Jammu Region. J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Divisional Office, Jammu organized a Folk Musical extravaganza in R.S Pura, Jammu. As per a release, Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was also present on the occasion. In her address she said, co-curricular activities are as important as curriculum to develop all round development of the students. As teacher is the architect of Nation, they must boost and aware to the students for their participation in the Cultural Activities so that they could feel proud of their cultural heritage besides know the cultural heritage of other region. Thakur Balwant Singh, the noted educationist expressed his gratitude to the Academy for organizing impressive and successful cultural shows for the students and people belong to border area. Earlier Shamima Akhter, Special Officer for Cultural Activities welcomed the audience. In her welcome address, She gave a full details of the activities to be undertaken for the Border Area programmes in near future. Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Sr. Drama Instructor, presented vote of thanks to all the guests which include students, teachers, staff, social worker and the villagers presented on the occasion. The proceeding of the programmes was ably conducted by Bishan Dass, Jr. Staff Artists of the Academy, the release added. |
