Councillor Amit kick starts development work of park near Canal Road

JAMMU, Oct 9: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Councillor Amit Gupta inaugurated the development work of a park in Canal road area under Ward No 19 at the cost of Rs 30 lakhs. The park was in a dilapidated condition since long and the residents, especially old persons, were facing lot of problems while visiting it. Amit Gupta while addressing the gathering appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in various development works undertaken by the it within the Jammu city. He urged upon the residents to avoid using single use plastic and polythene in their routine work and appealed them not to throw debris, garbage filth etc in the public park work Gupta asked the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and beautiful city. Local residents including Anil Sharma (Labhu), Vishal Malhotra, Vinod Gupta, Sunil Gupta, Kartar Chand, Rajesh Gupta (Raju), Maan Dai, Rajani Slathia, Pushpa Devi, Sheela Devi Nirmla Devi, Bimla Devi, Mohan Lal, Babu Ram, Madan Lal Vijay Kumar, Swar Singh and others were present.
