DC Rajouri reviews arrangements for Eid -e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)

RAJOURI, Oct 9: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the Eid-e- Milad un Nabi(SAW) in the district here at a meeting attended by officers of line departments, religious leaders and members of Traders Associations.
While chairing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner urged the religious leaders to ensure compliance of Covid SOPs by devotees coming for special prayers, particularly wearing of masks and maintenance of physical distance. He said that Covid is not yet over so the people need to adhere to the Covid Appropriate Behaviour in letter and spirit.
He directed the officials of PDD and Jal Shakti Department to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply. The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department was directed to station a mobile water tanker at Jamia Masjid Rajouri on the day of Eid. Similar instructions were also issued to the Health Department for providing health care facilities along with ambulances at Jamia Masjid, while the Fire and Emergency Department was asked to station fire tenders at the venue. Executive Officer MC was directed to make all cleanliness arrangements in the city, especially around the mosques. The Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the efforts of religious leaders during the Covid 19 lockdown and in spreading awareness regarding vaccination.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tahir Mustafa Malik; AD Food Safety, Ajeet Singh; EXen PHE, Mushtaq Ahmed; Maulana Molvi Farooq, President Beopar Mandal, Rajesh Gupta and other religious leaders.
