JAMMU, Nov 4: University of Jammu today made it into the pre-quarterfinals round beating RML University Avadh 3-1 in the round two in the ongoing North Zone Inter-University Table Tennis Championship at Indoor Hall of University of Jammu, here.
Now, in the third round of pre-quarterfinals, to be played tomorrow, JU men shall take on GADVS University Ludhiana.
Star striker, Nitin Kesar played a crucial role in JU victory winning his both the singles matches. He first defeated Manoj Singh in easy straight sets 11-2, 11-5, 11-6 and later clinched the closely fought reverse singles against Rahul 11-9, 12-10, 11-9.
Ahil Gupta also won his singles while Suresh Kumar lost to Sumitra Singh 1-3.
