| U-22 Cricket: J&K win by 87 runs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 4: Jammu and Kashmir today registered an emphatic 87 runs victory over Delhi in the four-day Col. C K Nayudu under-22 cricket match, courtesy superb all-round performance from Parvez Rasool at St. Stephan College, Delhi. Unable to perform in the first innings (165 runs all), J&K fought back in the second innings and made 352 runs in reply to Delhi total of 265. J&K could raise a big total because of a splendid knock of 167 runs from Pervez Rasool, reports reaching here said. In the second innings, needing 253 runs to win, Delhi bowled out short of 88 runs to the winning target. This time, Asif and Manik turned the tables against the hosts taking away four and three wickets respectively. Manik emerged as highest wicket taker with match haul of five, followed by Asif, four and Parvez three. From bat, Ram Dayal contributed 48 runs in the second innings, followed by Obaid, who made 36 runs. |
