SRINAGAR, Nov 4: Chief Secretary S.S. Kapur today took a high-level meeting of officers to review the arrangements being made for conducting free, fair and hassle-free elections in the State. The meeting was also attended by Chief Electoral Officer B.R. Sharma, Commissioner Secretary GAD Basharat Ahmad Dhar, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Masaud Samoon, IGP Kashmir Dr. B. Srinivas and IGP BSF.
While being briefed about the steps taken for the coming elections in the State beginning November 17, the Chief Secretary stressed better coordination among various departments involved in the electoral process so that the elections are conducted smoothly. |
