JAMMU, Nov 5: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) sponsored Women Sports Festival was organized by the J&K State Sports Council for Block Kishtwar at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir High School, district Kishtwar today.
The prizes were distributed among the winners of different events by Principal of host Bharatiya Vidya Mandir.
Held under the supervision of Manager Sports Council, Ashok Singh, the competitions were organized with the assistance of Iqbal Singh and Dalbir Melta, football and hockey coaches respectively of the Sports Council. These Council officials were also extended helping hand by Physical Education Teachers (PETs), Devan Chand, Sushil Kumar, Subash Aryan and Anil.
The detailed results: Kho-Kho: Government Higher Secondary School Kishtwar, Ist and Bharatiya Vidya Mandir High School, 2nd. Kabaddi: Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, Ist and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kishtwar, 2nd. Athletics: 100 mts: Shantu, Ist; Sapna, 2nd and Pooja, third. 200 mts: Anu, Ist; Rita Thakur, 2nd and Sheetal, 3rd. Shot Put: Meena, Ist; Renu Devi, 2nd and Safia, 3rd. |
