SRINAGAR, Nov 6: Peoples Democratic Party candidate foir Ganderbal, Qazi Mohammad Afzal faced he public ire today at Kirhama in Ganderbal district, when he attempted to address a election rally and people attacked and forcing him for a hasty retreat.
Reports reaching here said that Qazi was trying to apologise people for the role he played in Shrine Board Land Transfer case.
People were not ready to heed him and attacked him with sticks and other things they laid their hands on. However, Qazi under his security cover, managed to flee the spot to escape the peoples' wrath. |
