| Use water judiciously: Dir CAD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 6: Director, Command Area Development (CAD) Nirmal Sharma conducted an extensive tour of Niki Tawi area, Marh, Pinjore Sure Chak, Mishriwala, Jaswan, Jhiri, Kana Chak, Baba Talab and Chak Jaralla and inspected various OFD works under Ranbir Canal Command Project.
During the visit she attends farmers meeting at several places and farmers appreciated the quality of OFD works executed by RRD-Sub-division of CAD Jammu and it was demanded that more area be brought under field channel programme.
While addressing the farmers she laid stress on judicious uses of irrigation water, so that precious natural resource be conserved, she also issued on spot instructions to the soil conservation staff to take care of needs and demands of farmers and redouble their efforts so that the targets are achieved well in time and maximum benefits are achieved by the farmers.
She was accompanied by Project Officer O.S Chowdhary, Assistant Soil Conservation Officer RRD M.A Mir and Soil Conservation Assistants of Sub-division. |
