| Killing of Swamy Laxmananda condemned | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 6: The killing of Swamy Laxmananda Saraswati along with his four disciples recently in Orissa was strongly condemned at a meeting held at Geeta Mandir here the other day. Meeting chaired by Dharminder Sharma said that role of churches in conversion of poor tribal in Orissa is a matter of great concern and condemned the Orissa Government for its complete failure to protect the life of 90 yr old sadhu, who was providing education and health care to poor tribals of the state. He said Swamiji was under great threat but was not provided any security. This was resolved in the meeting that the name of the organization which is going to educate the people of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the conversion shall be “Swamy Laxmananda Saraswati Shardhanjli Samiti” and Dharnidahr shall be the convener of the Samiti. The meeting was told that dharans and processions shall be held on 7th of Nov to protest against the killing of Swamy Laxmananda Saraswati. |
