| Prominent Congress activists join NC in Banihal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 6: Gulzar Wani, Congress District President from Ramban along with his supporters resigned from Congress and joined National Conference in presence of party patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah and president Omar Abdullah.
While joining into the party, Gulzar Wani said he is fully convinced with the programs and policies of the National Conference and committed for the welfare and wellbeing of the people of the state. He assured the party Patron and President that he along with his supporters will work dedicatedly for the party and will ensure the victory of the party candidate form Ramban.
Provincial President Jammu Province Ajay Sadhotra and Rattan Lal Gupta, Senior Vice President Jammu province welcomed the joining of Gulzar Wani and hoped that his joining into the party will further strengthen the party.
Meanwhile Mushtaq Ahmed, a prominent advocate and Congress leader form Poonch, who contested 2002 assembly elections as an Independent candidate, joined National Conference along with his supporters at Poonch in presence of Aijaz Jan, party's candidate from Poonch. |
