| Unity alone can bring victory: Nirmal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 6: BJP candidate from Gandhi Nagar Assembly constituency Prof Nirmal Singh on Thursday urged party workers to unite in order to ensure victory of BJP in the Assembly polls. Prof Singh was interacting with the jubilant party workers after inaugurating the election office in Gandhi Nagar area. Prof Singh trained his guns on all the political parties including National Conference, PDP and Congress and blamed them for the poor infrastructure, corruption, lack of employment opportunities in the state. He urged voters in Jammu to punish all these political parties and give BJP an opportunity to serve people in a much better way. Prof Singh appealed to the party workers to spread the message of BJP leadership to all corners of the state and ensure victory of BJP candidates in the polls. Expose all the tall leaders who maintained silence and played negative role during the two month long agitation over Amarnath land transfer row, he asked the party activists. Meanwhile, state BJP Chief Ashok Khajuria on Thursday urged Election Commission of India ensure free and fair Assembly polls in the state and ensure leaders belonging to all the mainstream political parties stick to the election code of conduct. Prof Chaman Lal Gupta warned voters in Jammu region not to fall prey to the mischievous propaganda of PDP and other Kashmir centric political parties. He said BJP has always believed that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India but parties like PDP are floating proposals like self rule and presenting it to the Prime Minister to act on it. |
