HC issues notice to respondents for filling objections
Selector selects daughter-in-law

JAMMU, Nov 6: In a interesting writ petition challenging the selection of Anganwari Workers, in which member of interview committed selected his daughter-in-law, Justice YP Nargotra of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing , after hearing Advocate Surinder Kour appearing for the petitioner, issued notice to State of J&K through Chief Secretary, Commissioner/Secretary Social Welfare Department, Director Social Welfare Jammu and others and in the meanwhile ordered that selection shall be subject to the outcome of the petition.
In the petition it has been submitted that respondents vide notification dated October 13, 2008 have selected private respondent Nasreen Kouser, who is stated to be the daughter-in-law of one of the members of interview committee Bashir Khan Block Development Officer. The petition seeks quashment of the selection list of Anganwari workers of ICDS Project Manjakot District Rajouri.
During the course of arguments, Adv Surinder Kour appearing for the petitioner, submitted that the interview committee comprising District Social Welfare Officer Rajouri. Pankaj Sharma, Dr.Yaseen Medical Officer Sub-District Hospital Manjakote and Bashir Khan BDO Rajouri, had selected private respondent Nasreen Kouser merely of her being the relation of one of the interview committee members. HC stays suspension order of DFO
Jammu, Nov 06- Justice Sunil Hali of J&K High Court Jammu wing, in a petition challenging the suspension of the petitioner Parkash Singh, Incharge ACF/DFO Kathua, today issued notice to the respondents and also directed the Advocate General to file objections within this weeks and till then the order No 408-FST of 2008 dated October 30, 2008 shall remain stayed.
The petitioner seeks quashment of the aforesaid order whereby the petitioner was placed under suspension illegal and arbitrary and prayed for directions to the respondents to allow the petitioner to continue at his present place of posting as Incharge ACF/DFO Kathua till his retirement due within four months JNF
