Every one is well aware of the fact that life of a person resides on the beat of his heart. undoubtedly, heart is the most worthy , delicate, precious and significant organ of a human body. Health and well being of heart confirms the health and wellbeing of a person. It is only because of this, our daily newspapers are crammed with articles on heart ailments , prevention, control and its treatment . Our sedentary life style, stress ,strain, unhealthy habits like smoking , alcohol drinking, drug addiction and frustration of joblessness have infected our heart with so many dangerous diseases like cardiovascular disease , coronary heart disease, cardiac arrest, Mycocardial infaraction, Mitral valve regurgitation, Arotic sinosis etc etc but irony with heart treatment is that, it is possible only in big metropolitan cities and require worth lakh of rupees. Every year these heart ailments are snatching the lives our dear one’s and are becoming the cause of deep mental trauma for the family members of a heart patient. As per a report, India witnesses a big sweep in number of deaths due to CVDs . The annual number of deaths from CVDs in india raised from 2.26 million (1990) to 4.77 million(2020).
Situation is more grave our state of Jammu and Kashmir. As per report of Global health care research, J&K recorded 29.6% deaths due to heart ailments. Amid innumerable causes of deaths due to cardiac arrest in J&K , non availability of efficient doctors was one of them. But friends, scenario is completely changed now. Heart patients, who were earlier referred to Delhi, chandigarh or Bombay for surgical treatment, are now successfully been treated in Khyber hospital of Srinagar by a most efficient, talented and skilled doctor named (Doc. Sayeed Asar Qadari).” He is a gifted soul and directly blessed by God. God has send him in Srinagar to bring the helpless and needy people of J&K out of this life taking disease, God has made him a great boon for those who do not effort going to Delhi or chandigarh for heart surgery and atlast scumb to heart infection. Not only me but my coming generations would be thankful to him “ these are the direct words of one of his patients Hamid malik .
Dr. Sayeed Asrar Ahmed Qadari after completing his schooling from BISCO Srinagar went to ASCOMS jammu for MBBS there after done his MS and MCH CVTS from SKIMS .
Different types of heart surgeries like CABG ( coronary heart bypass grafting)
AVR(Arotic valve replacement)
MVR(Mitrial valve replacement) etc etc,
Which were once a dream to be performed by any doctor, in any hospital of J&k are now successfully been performed by one and only one doctor. Doc. Sayeed Asrar Ahmed Qadari. To your surprise he has performed 250 such surgeries till now and all his patients are healthy and performing their daily life activities. He is also appointed as Director of cardiology department of Khyber hospital Srinagar. His experience as consultant cardiac surgery of six years in Fortis Escott heart institute New Delhi adds more feathers to his cap .
Talking in an interview Dr. Qadri said that he is more happy now because he is treating his patients free of cost under Ayushmann scheme of Govt. Of India. This scheme is a great help for people of India. Govt. Of India is giving health insurance of rupees five lakh per year to every indian . Every one should make their Golden cards for their free treatment.
In the end, I want to say, life and death is in the hands of God but efficient doctors with their best treatment can help a patient to live a better life.
