Sikh Sangat wants FIR against Wazir

JAMMU, Nov 6: Strongly resenting the unlawful activities of the SGPB and its President T S Wazir, the Sikh Sangat today urged he Deputy Commissioner, and SSP, Jammu to register FIR against Wazir and also ensure implementation of the court decision with regard to handing over of office premises to the elected members of the DGPC, Jammu.
The Sangat has also appealed to the Sikh community in the state not to cast their votes in favour of the NC candidates in general and T S Wazir in particular, who is the NC candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. The Sangat alleged that Wazir had misused the Gurudwara funds for his political activities. Charging him mixing religion with politics, the Sikh Sangat warned him to desist from such moves as these activities would not be tolerated at any cost.
A handout out said that while the Sikh Sangat hailed the court verdict against the SGPB decision, it has alleged that the duly elected body of the DGPC Jammu was attacked by the anti-social elements, who broke open the locks and took possession of the office unlawfully and in violation of the court directions. The Sangat while taking serious note of the unlawful activities of Wazir has sought registering of FIR against him at the earliest failing which the community would be forced to launch a stir.
The meeting among others was attended by Ragubir Singh, Jagbir Singh, Karamjeet Singh, Partap Singh, Sohan Singh, Pritam Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Chanchal Singh, Santokh Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Surjit Singh, Rajinder Singh and Ranjit Singh.
