| JU played QF after 4 yrs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 6:The men’s team of the University of Jammu reached the quarterfinals stages in the North Zone Table Tennis after a gap of four years. The encouraging results came after team jumped into the competition under the able guidance of bronze medalist in North Zone Inter-University and Deputy Registrar of the University of Jammu, Dr Dharminder Magotra. “We were hoping for the semi-final, but, unfortunately it was not the day for our boys, who could not do well and lost the game,” Dr Magotra, who is also manager of the team, told SAN. “In fact, hosting of such events help in building own infrastructure. Now, we have four world class tables and other required arena in place. It would help the state players further sharp their skills on this international standard playing facility at JU,” mentioned Dr Dharminder Magotra. |
