| Broad daylight murder over land dispute | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Oct 26: A man was today murdered in broad daylight at village Ganshad in Chenani area of Udhampur.
Police has registered a case under Section 302 of IPC and started investigations but none has been arrested till last reports.
The deceased Kuldeep Singh son of Tara Chand was attacked by the four people of his own village with sticks inflicting critical injuries on him which resulted into his immediate death.
After attacking the deceased the culprits fled the scene of crime.
The locals said that a land dispute was the cause of murder.
The four culprits of murder shared boundary of their farm land with that of the deceased and claimed possession on a piece of land of the victim and the case was also in the court of law.
Locals informed that the culprits who killed Kuldeep have dispute with others in the village too whosoever shared land boundary with their plot of farm land.
When contacted the concerned SHO Chenani, Charanjeet Singh said that the village where crime has taken place is a far flung area but still cops have been send there to make arrests.
He said that a case against the four persons has been registered and they might have escaped to the nearby forests. |
