| GDC Kathua conducts cleanliness drive in college premises | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 27: In continuation to its activities under Clean India campaign and "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav", NSS Units GDC Kathua today conducted cleanliness drive in the college premises. Under this drive, volunteers collected waste material in the form of polythene and plastic and other waste from the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Arts block. After cleansing the parks and department, volunteers put their focus on the college main sitting and play ground. Volunteers collected all scattered waste from the play ground and dispose off in the proper place. Along with collection of waste student to student campaign was also carried on regarding clean India Campaign among other sitting and playing students on the ground. Numbers of students of the college also took part in this drive inspired by the NSS volunteers. The commitment made by the volunteers to devote two hours for cleanliness drive is now come up to expectations of the authority of the college. There is no less enthusiasm among the volunteers as comparison to the previous activities regarding this Clean India Campaign which was launched on the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Volunteers also made appealed to the other students to participate in this campaign and become youth ambassador to forward this campaign in their respective areas for the cause of Nation.
