CAPD imposes fine of Rs.6500 to defaulters

Special squad constituted by the Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Sanjeev Verma conducted surprise raids in Reasi town last evening and booked 40 traders for violating various provisions of law and imposed a fine of Rs.6500. About one quintal of unwholesome vegetables and fruits were also destroyed by the team.
Twenty five domestic cylinders which were being used in commercial establishments in the town besides some bottles of Mustard oil of sub standard quality were also seized on the spot.
The team has warned the traders not to indulge in overcharging and sell only fresh and good quality items to the public. The team also asked the shopkeepers to display rate lists of items at their business establishments so that the customers may not feel any hesitation while making purchases.
