| Secretariat reopening Monday | | |
Early Times Reporter Jammu, Nov 07 Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sudhanshu Pandey inspected various sections of Civil Secretariat Jammu to take stock of ongoing works undertaken before darbar move. He was accompanied by Director Estate, A. R. Kuchay, Municipal Commissioner, Jammu, P. L. Sharma, XEN, Estate, and officers from PHE, PDD and Police department. Inspecting the new upgraded three halls for employees of Finance, Planning and PWD Departments at a cost of Rs.89 lakh, the Divisional Commissioner was apprised that the three halls have a capacity to accommodate 200 employees at a time. Pandey observed that the upgraded halls create a corporate ambience in the civil secretariat. He was apprised that the corridors of ground and first floor of the secretariat building have been upgraded by fixing false gypsum ceiling and modern electricity fittings at cost of Rs. 12.40 lakh. Earlier, in a meeting to review the darbar move arrangements, Divisional Commissioner asked the PDD and PHE officials to make adequate drinking water and electricity arrangements for the move employees. He said that lighting and other facilities installed at the secretariat should be checked on Saturday and Sunday so that no problem is encountered when the offices open on Monday. Municipal authorities were asked to provide collection bins at different places and carry out an extensive sanitation drive.
