To facilitate all the political parties of district Udhampur in organizing rallies during ensuing Assembly Elections, the District Election Officer (DEO), Udhampur, Ajay Khajuria convened a meeting with District Presidents of various political parties of the district, here today.
After holding threadbare discussion on the subject, Sports Stadium, Udhampur was unanimously identified as the suitable place for holding rallies to be addressed by the National and other top leaders of different political parties. Keeping in view the security arrangements, it was also agreed that a separate entry point will be created to the stadium from other side as suggested by the SSP Udhampur.
The District Election Officer also circulated the instructions of Election Commission of India to all political parties pertaining to the release of advertisements in TV channels etc., defacement of public property and other issues related to the observance of model code of conduct.
