| Monica adjudged best speaker in symposium | | |

Monica Sharma, a student of GCW Udhampur was adjudged as the best speaker in symposium on the topic “ Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad’s crusade for Education” organized by the Government College for Women, here on Friday.
Monica would represent the college at the competition to be held on November 8, 2008 at GCW, Gandhinagar Jammu.
The Principal of the Institution, Prof. Kiran Bakshi threw light on the educational philosophy of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad who was not only a Muslim scholar and a senior political leader of the Independence movement but was the first Education Minister of free India.
Prof. Renu Nanda, Prof. R.P. Singh and Prof. Shivi Mehra were in the panel of judges.
