| Mayor distributes dustbins in old Jammu city areas | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 28: Continuing his endeavour to provide better civic amenities to the citizens of Jammu, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) conducted an extensive tour of the various localities of old Jammu city today.
Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta accompanied by Councillor of Ward No 10, Anil Massom met with the locals as well as shopkeepers, listened to their demands related to sanitation, street lights and also distributed about three hundred twin dustbins (Green & Blue) to the shopkeepers of Moti Bazar, Rani Park, Parade under "Swachh Bharat Mission" for collecting dry/wet garbage separately on daily basis.
Parveen Kerni, Jammu East Mandal President, Dr Sanjogita Soodan Health Officer, Hardeep Singh I/c Sanitation Officer, concerned Sanitary Inspector and other supervisory staff of Health section & team of Swachh Bharat Mission JMC, Chandan Gupta President Moti Bazar Traders Association alongwith other representatives of market also accompanied the Mayor during the tour of the area. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that all the Councillors in collaboration with officers/officials of JMC is committed to provide better civic as well as development amenities to the people of Jammu in all the wards of the city.
President of the Moti Bazar Association on behalf of other shopkeepers extended lot of gratitude to the Mayor, concerned Councillor and staff members of JMC for visiting their areas and listening to their issues and also assured that they will provide full cooperation to the JMC staff in maintaining their markets neat, clean and green. |
