259 polling staff cast vote through post

According to the returning office Leh Assembly constituency Surat Singh the poll through postal ballot paper of the polling staffs for election duty for Leh Assembly constituency was conducted today at Conference hall near DC office where 259 employees of Leh, Kharu and Tangtse blocks cast their postal ballot paper today under tight security and in a fair manner and were sealed by the returning officer in presence of party agents and polling officers. This practice shall continue for tomorrow also for the remaining polling staffs of blocks.

The District Election officer A.K Sahu personally supervised the training programme of EVM and process of casting of postal ballot papers. During the training procedure, he elaborated the rules and regulations as well as the guideline issued by the Election Commission of India to the employees who have been deployed on election duty. He assured the polling staffs to provide fool proof security and handsome honorarium for their services during the election poll.
