| Militants take Nepal route to enter J&K | | |
SUMIT SHARMA Jammu | Nov 7
After having failed to push militants to this side of the border for subversive activities, the Pakistani authorities have adopted a different tactics to allow militants to enter Jammu and Kashmir. This has been proved following arrest of a militant who was recently arrested at the railway station here. On questioning the arrested militant confirmed that he entered India via Nepal.
This was not the single case of its kind. Another militant was also held at Ramban with fake passport and three identity cards by security forces during naka checking.
Pertinent to mention here that during questioning the Hizbul Muzahideen militant held at the Railway Station had also revealed that he along with his eight other associates had managed to reach Jammu via Nepal on the directions of the ISI to carry out sub subversive activities in Jammu and Kashmir. During his physical search the police along with the 91 Bn of CRPF had recovered a fake passport, two identity cards, two air tickets one from Islamabad to Karachi and other from Kathmandu to Jammu, two mobile SIM cards. The arrested militant who was put to sustained interrogation disclosed his name as Ashiq Hussain alias Faisal son of Mohammed Subhan Khan resident of Khan Mohalla, Kupwara. However, the passport issued by the Pakistan authorities was on the name of Ashiq Hussain son of Ishfaq Hussain resident of Rawalpindi. He also revealed that four years ago he along with militants’ guide crossed the border and got training in Pakistan along with other militants. He said that every year a batch of 122 militants pass out from training centre situated near the Indian border. His interrogation was on to get more information and police is sanguine to have some vital clues in this regard.
