| JKNPP candidate tours Nagrota constituency | | |
Early Times Reporter Nagrota | Nov 7
General Secretary and JKNPP candidate for Nagrota Assembly constituency Ghulam Ali today toured several villages in Dansal area to assess the burning problems of the people.
Ali expressed regrets that no development worth the name has taken place in the area as majority of the village are devoid of communication facilities and are facing difficulty in absence of basic amenities of life. He charged the successive public representatives of the area of ignoring these villages in the matter of development and wasting funds on flimsy works. Though these representatives have been talking high about the all round development of the rural areas, but there seemed nothing on the ground, he alleged.
Ali said that the local primary school at Kalgran was not functional and closed for several months due to absence of teachers and the staff. The teachers of the school are mostly non locals from city and other places, who remain away from their place of posting, he maintained.
He said that voters should judge the performance of the erstwhile leaders before casting their votes and assured that if elected his first priority would be the development of these neglected areas.
