| GGM Science College Jammu distributes warm clothes in slum | | | 
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 3: NSS GGM Science College Jammu under the patronage of Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr Deepali Mahajan organized warm cloth distribution drive in the adopted slum area Kalika Colony under the aegis of Azadi Ka amrut Mahotsav. NSS volunteers collected warm clothes and distributed them on the onset of winter season and eve of Diwali.
Clothes were sorted out according to size, gender and type and then washed and ironed. Diye Se Diya Jala, a seven day workshop spreading the magic of illumination with the aim be a cause of someone’s happiness; filling their lives with the glow of happiness by contributing our little. Such events are an eye-opener for students, teaching them the most important lesson of education i.e developing the feelings of empathy and responsibility. The smiles, affection and the positivity of the people made us believe none should be left out in our society. The students distributed toffees and sweets to the children and adults and wished them Shubh Deepawali. The kind efforts were much appreciated by people of the slum. Because All Human Life Is Sacred; The belief of NSS Not me But You!! Reetik Kapahi, Nancy Sharma, Sunandini Sharma, Pranav Sharma, Aaghav Arora, Anchal Singh, Neeru Devi, Divya Surmal, Mohammad Ali, Prerna Syal, Shradha, Gulnaz, Shabana Akhtar, Sargam Verma and Sahil participated in the cloth distribution drive. |
