Foundation Day of Bharat Scouts/Guides celebrated with enthusiasm

JAMMU, Nov 7: The J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Jammu, celebrated its foundation Day/Flag Day, here, at SHQ Gandhi Nagar, Jammu today in which about 80 Scouts/Guides, Scouters/Guiders and heads of various institutions participated.
ID Soni, Former State Commissioner, was the chief guest, Principal Sri Guru Gobind Singh HS Kunjwani Jammu, Nasreen Khan, State Secretary cum Administrative Officer, MM Joshi, State Commissioner , Adult Resource (S), Prabha Jain, Former Joint State Commissioner (Guides), Dr Renu Nanda, State Commissioner Ranger, HL Dogra, State Treasurer were the guest of honour on this auspicious occasion.
Matri Jain, State Commissioner (G) welcomed all the dignitaries, the guests, and the Scouts/Guides and also gave a brief importance of this day as it is day of introspection for all connected with the movement. “Dr Sri Ram Memorial Awards” were given away to the year’s Best Scout Masters/Guide Captains named Uma Jamwal, Mudasir Ahmad Khan, Stish Chadha and Krishna along with Principal Guru Gobind Singh School and Principal Anand Vidya Kendra Jammu were also honoured with Thanks Badge for their kind and time to time support to this noble movement by the chief guest.
The chief guest and other guests blessed the Scouts and Guides and appreciated the steps being taken by this movement to spread the message of this noble movement to every corner of the State. He felt highly impressed that this movement is trying to cultivate basic values such as commitment, conviction, character, courtesy and cheerfulness in the right earnestness in the young Scouts & Guides which is the need of the hour.
HL Dogra presented the vote of thanks in his usual most impressive manner and stressed upon young Scouts and Guides to put in their best in the well being of the society. The programme was compared by Harvinder Kour.
