JAMMU, Nov 8: The 'Lord Shiva' academy organized its first annual sports meet at Bri-Kamila (Gurah Slathia). The sports meet was a colourful display of talent, stamina and organizing capabilities. The four houses namely Basanter, Chenab, Devak and Tawi participated. There were variety of races for nursery school children like chocolate race, spoon race and three legged race.
The sports events started d with a colourful oath taking ceremony by the house captains, and school co-ordinator Bharti Slathia declared the meet open. Students excelled in events like 100 mts, 200 mts, relay race, triple jump, and shot put. The girls outshined the boys. Lata Chib the senior most teacher was the chairperson conducting games. The last but the most popular event was the tug of wr in which all the houses participated.
