| Rubiya Syed kidnapping case | | TADA Court issues production warrants of Yaseen Malik, Nanaji | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 08- Presiding Officer TADA Court today issued production warrant of JKLF Supremo Mohammed Yaseen Malik and Mohammed Rafiq alias Nanaji, who are presently lodged in Jammu and Udhampur Jails respectively, for their production in the Court on the next date of hearing. Court also issued non-bailable warrant against Yaqoob Pandit, one of the accused in Rubiya Syed kidnapping case. Today when the cases of kidnapping Dr. Rubiya Syed and killing of Air-Force personnel came up for hearing before the TADA Court, Senior Adv ZA Shah assisted by Adv Yogesh Bakshi filed an application for transfer of cases from Jammu TADA Court to Srinagar TADA Court and the Court issued notice to CBI for objections in the transfer application of the cases. Those present in the court today were Zargar, Mohammed Iqbal Gandroo, Manzoor Ahmed Sofi and Mohammed Zaman Mir, while the other accused were exempted by the Court for today in view of the civil curfew imposed in Srinagar. The most important case related to the kidnapping of Dr. Rubiya Syed daughter of the then Union Home Minister Mufti Mohammed Syed who while going to hospital in the month of December 1989 was kidnapped by the accused persons including JKLF supremoe and released after the demand for release of five hardcore militants of JKLF was conceded by the government . The other case related to the killing of five Air-Force Officials at Batmaloo Srinagar on January, 1990. Both the cases were investigated by the country's prime investigating agency CBI and the challan was presented in the TADA court, which were pending for framing charges for last more than 15 years.
