Urs of Suffi saint Shah Assar Sahb celebrated with religious fervour

KISHTWAR, Nov 10: Celebrations of Urs Hazrat Shah Asrar ud Din RA Bagdadi was today held with religious fervour at Kishtwar for which special arrangements by the district administration along with Auqaf Islamia were put in place with the help Sajjada Nasheen Darbar Asraria in which thousands of people from different parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir participated. Speaking to Early Times, Sajjada Nasheen Syed Ajaz Ahmed said that for the same purpose naat khawani,darood khawani, mankabat khawani, khatmaat and other related humanitarian services was started since 31st October 2021. Meanwhile Administrator Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar Akther Qazi told the Early Times that elaborated security arrangements, transportation, lodging and boarding and food for the visiting pilgrims has been made added that efforts has been put in place for COVID SOPs m- even though Kishtwar District is COVID free as of now. Qazi also visited the shrine of Shah Asrar (RTA) and inspected the arrangements put in place for hassle free visit of the pilgrims inside the shrine. He also told the Early Times that Auqaf Islamia has prepared a booklet highlighting the life and Journey of Shah Fareed Ud Din and Shah Asrar ud Din Baghdadi (RTA) and the same is being distributed among the visiting pilgrims on nominal charges. Keeping in view of the heavy rush of pilgrims, businessman installed stalls at Chowgan ground Kishtwar where people visiting the shrine could be seen buying various goods. After Depawali, the business community is seeing annual Urs of Shah Asrar Sb as blessing in offing this year as on previous two occasion the celebration of Urs was halted due to COVID 19 pandemic. Duty magistrate along with police parties has been deployed at various places of the town for hassle free movement of the people and monitoring of COVID SOPs.
