DC launches IEC activities of "Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani" & SVAMITA at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Nov 10: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib today launched Information Education and Communication activities on "Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani" & SVAMITA in the district.
After launching the IEC campaign, the DC informed that it becomes imperative that the benefits of initiatives taken by the Government are disseminated across the district and the citizens are made aware of it.
She said the initiative will facilitate easy online access to the Land Records System, thereby reducing manipulation of the Land Records and improving the efficiency of Revenue offices substantially.
Under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), the Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir has achieved an important milestone by providing the most transparent & accountable services to the common people.
The DC further apprised that Public users can search and view copies of Scanned data online on CIS Portal- http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/.
In this regard, different monitoring committees have been constituted viz District level, Sub-Divisional level, Block Level, Tehsil Level and Panchayat level Committees under the overall supervision of ADDC (Nodal Officer) in the District. She assured that the District IEC campaign will be conducted to mobilize people to participate in all SVAMITA activities and initiatives.
Meanwhile, ADDC & ACR, in collaboration with NIC Udhampur, gave a live demonstration about the Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani and SVAMITA scheme to PRIs and general public of the Block during the camp. They sensitized the public about the benefits of these schemes which includes survey activities, establishment of continually operating reference stations network, Large scale mapping of rural abadi areas using drone survey methodology, Enhancement in special planning application and development online monitoring dashboard, Issuance of property card, Minimize property dispute etc.
