| Choudhary reviews progress of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes in Reasi | | |  Early Times Report
KATRA, Nov 10: Principal Secretary to Government Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department (APFWD), Navin Kumar Choudhary conducted a detailed review meeting of Agriculture, Horticulture and allied sectors at Katra today to access progress on various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and other flagship Programmes presently under implementation in the Reasi district.
District Development Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh, Director Horticulture Jammu Ram Savak, Director Command Area Development RS Tara, Director Agriculture Jammu, Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Director Sheep Husbandry, Jt Director Fisheries along with District officers were present in the meeting.
Choudhary directed Agriculture Department to cover all the eligible beneficiaries under PM - Kissan Samman Nidhi Yojna, KCC, PM Kissan Kandhan Yojna and formulation of Farmers Producers Organizations. He also instructed agriculture department to identify the farmers in the age group of 18-40 for registration under PM Kissan Man Dhan Yojana.
During the meeting District Development Commissioner Reasi informed the chair regarding disbursement of crop loss compensation to the affected farmers due to recent hailstorm.
After the meeting Principal Secretary inaugurated the Horticulture Facilitation Centre at Government Fruit Plant Nursery Dagozibagh where in Director Horticulture Jammu briefed the Principal Secretary about the successful functioning of facilitation centers working across the division. After inauguration he also distributed keys of tractors to the beneficiaries of district Reasi. During the inspection of nursery Principal Secretary directed the chief Horticulture officer Reasi to explore the full potential of the nursery. |
