| SKUAST-J organizes training prog for farmers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 8- Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Jammu organized one day training program on climate change at Chatha to make farmers aware about the climatic change and its impact on agriculture. The program was organized by the Agro-meteorology Research Centre, SKUAST-J in collaboration with Central Research Institute for Dry land Agriculture, Hyderabad. About 120 farmers participated in the training program Prof. Nazir Sudhan, Director of Research was the chief guest. Dr. M. K. Khushu highlighted the climate change and its impact on agriculture to make farmers aware of the negative impacts of the climate change. Dr. V. K. Koul, Prof of Entomology, Dr. Mahender Singh, Technical Officer (AAS), Dr. Anil Sharma, Jr. Scientist Dry land Agriculture and Dr. Gulshan Rashid from Jammu University also delivered the talk on the subject.
