KATHUA, Nov 12: Principal GDC Kathua Prof (Dr) M S Pathania felicitated the Volleyball Players for winning District Volleyball Championship held at Hiranagar and the Athletes of GDC Kathua who fetched Cross Country (W) trophy by securing second and third position for silver and Bronze medals in recently held Inter-Collegiate sports competitions at University of Jammu, Jammu. He has appreciated the efforts of Dr JS Soodan (Physical Director, GDC Kathua) for preparing the athletes to win in the tough conditions. Almost 90 colleges affiliated to Jammu University have Participated in this competition, where GDC Kathua have won silver and bronze medal.
Among the winners Palavi Thakur secured 2nd position, whereas, Ms. Mamta Sharma secured 3rd position in 5km cross country run.
More over in Men's category, the boys reached to 4th and 5th Position in tough competition of 10KM Cross Country Run.
Among the Faculty members, who appreciated the elite athletes of GDC Kathua included Prof Raj Kiran( Convenor Sports Board), Prof Jaswinder Singh, Prof Rakesh Singh Jasrotia, Dr Kailash Sharma, Dr Surya Pratap, Dr Rachna, Dr Amriq Singh, Roshan Lal (Physical Director, GCW Kathua) and Prof Kaurab Singh. |
