| Samaj Sudhar to contest on 37 seats | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 9: The J&K State Samaj Sudhar Committee has decided to contest on 37 seats in the forthcoming elections as an independent candidate. Addressing media persons here today committee president M.Y. Wani said committee is giving un-conditional support to NC on 50 seats and on the rest seats committee will nominate its own candidate. He on the occasion appealed to the election commission of India to cancel the voter lists of Rajeevnagar, Narwal, Qasim Nagar, Kalka Colony, Gangyal and Trikuta Nagar of Gandhi Nagar constituency where nearly 7000 voters have been fraudulently entered in the voter listling the ex.minister. Wani further said that there is an apprehension of any misuse by the Ruling Coalition government at the centre, using the government machinery in the election and he cautioned the people be vigilant about the possibility of happening the situation in the election. The government is only by name functioning in the state but the administration is run under ground by the central government itself he said. He also stated in the press conference that the sick units in the Public sector will be reviewed and will be provided all assistance which they required so that these sick units shall function smoothly and properly. The employees employed in the factories shall not be allowed to terminated by the factory management. Wani emphasized upon the governor to implement the 6th Pay Commission to the state government employees without any further delay which will be benefited to the employees community.
