JAMMU, Nov 13: As a mark of celebrating Children Day and to spread pediatrics dental health care awareness in the society, a free dental camp was organized for children in the village Navgram, Bishnah, Jammu by the Department of Pediatrics and Preventive Dentistry, IDS, Sehora Jammu.
Children of different age groups were benefitted from the camp where in a team of various doctors from the Institute conducted a free oral health checkup along with giving demonstrations on how to brush and other essential steps required to take care of their oral health properly. Dr. Bhavneet Kaur, HOD, Pediatrics and Preventive Dentistry, emphasised on understanding the significance of child dental health care and stressed upon incorporating a healthy balanced diet along with maintaining a proper regular oral hygiene routine for attaining optimal dental health in children. She said the basic aim of this camp was to highlight the importance of healthy diet, proper oral care routine and also to encourage oneself to get properly educated for attaining a progressive healthy outlook in the society.
Free health packets were distributed by the team amongst all the children attending the camp to motivate them in following a healthy regimen which included oral care hygiene kits, nutritious healthy dietary items such as fruits, milk, healthy snacks etc along with few stationary items to highlight the significance of education, health and nutrition together. |
