EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 9: At an impressive function six hundred Praja Parishad activists, led by Chander Mohan Sharma, today embraced BJP at the time of its merger into it. They were welcomed into the party-fold by BJP National Vice-President and Incharge Jammu and Kashmir BJP Shanta Kumar, State President Ashok Khajuria and former Union MoS Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta. Pt. Som Nath Sharma (Sr. Vice-president), Pt. Diwarika Nath Sharma (Vice-president), Madan Lal Gupta (Vice-president), Suraj Dev Singh (General Secretary), Raj Kumar (Secretary), Adhitya Gupta (Secretary), Bansi Lal Gupta (Secretary), Ashwani Gupta (Treasurer), Haji Sardar Mohd. Khatana (President ST Cell), Arvind Sharma (President Kissan Cell), Akash Gupta (President Yuva Morcha), Arun Rajwal (President Anusuchit Jaati Morcha), Rajesh Khajuria (Secretary), Romesh Sharma, Sunil Gupta, Th. Gajay Singh (City President), Chanderkant Dutta, Sneh Gupta, Balwinder Kour and Kumari Shammi Narayan were prominent among those who joined BJP. On this occasion, District Vice-president of National Conference (Rural) Narayan Dutt Sharma, along with his four dozen supporters also joined the BJP. Earlier in the morning, Shanta Kumar, along with Ashok Khajuria and Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, inaugurated the party's Election Office in the premises of Pt. Premnath Dogra Bhawan. These party leaders also took part in the havan yagya performed before the inaugural ceremony. Th.
