Hindi comedy staged at Natrang's weekly theatre

JAMMU, Nov 9: 'Bhanwar Dar Bhanwar'- a unique Hindi comedy based love relationships was staged here today in Natrang's Weekly theatre program Sunday Theatre. Written by Balak Ram Nagar and directed by Balwant Thakur, this hilarious play enthralled Sunday theatre audience.
The fast paced funny situations of the play were full of intense humor which was enjoyed to the fullest by the spectators. The story of the play revolves around two sisters having contrast interests. The elder one is highly introverted whereas the younger one is extrovert and totally outgoing. They most of the time confront with each other owing to their opposite ideologies. Instead of confining to their respective selves they try to impose their conceptions on each other which generate lot of conflict between them. Smelling their differences a claver boy enters their life with two different identities suiting to their respective preferences. Here starts the real theatrical act when he meets them separately posing two different individuals. He plays with their emotions and the relationship reaches to a level where they are ready to marry the man of their respective choice without being aware of the fact that same person who is trying to befool the both.
Finally when the truth unveils both unitedly thrashes the exploiter of their emotions and is rejected and dejected by them.
The play attempts to underline the fact that ideological differences sometimes divide us to the extent that it tend to offer space to intruders who play havoc of our differences. These differences may be among brothers, sisters, friends, communities, sects to the extent of countries.
This triangular romantic comedy was played by three young artists of Natrang who gave remarkable performances and kept the audience spellbound with their high quality histrionics. Gaurav Jamwal played the lead role of claver guy who masters in changing colors as per the suitability of the situation. The elder sister was played by Vansheen where as the role of younger sister was played by Tejasvi Sharma. Rohit verma executed the sound effects whereas Mohit Sharma designed and executed the lights.
